"Space to find out what the world does not know"
Vernissage exhibition opening event
Monday, 5 September from 18:00
Foundry Gallery Space
38, route d'Esch L-1470
Foundry's autumn art exhibition celebrates Swedish-born contemporary artist Ric Linder.
Currently he resides in Stockholm Sweden, but he lived in Luxembourg through the years 1988-2002. Recently he has participated in two Cueva Collectives exhibitions, recently in Batiment 4 and a few years ago at Aal-Esch.
Ric’s art is primarily figurative with abstract notions and words of expression. He works primarily on unstretched canvas with mixed media: acrylic, markers, spray paint, pencil and more.
He works on several canvases at the same time, in a small studio upstairs in his house in the Swedish countryside just north of Stockholm. His paints are mixed with a presumed goal and unpredictable outcome. When the paint has dried, markers and spray paint take over and leave glossy and experimental material effects on the canvas. The process is unknown and hard to duplicate.
With his expression, there is Space to find out what the world does not know. With the process and former experiences, whatever comes out, is the next step towards the next creation.
