Packaging touches us all in our everyday lives. But recently it seems to have taken center stage in conversations on sustainability and become a provocative and even an emotional topic. Why is there so much packaging on everything? What decisions can I make as a consumer to buy products with packaging that is less harmful to the environment? "Plastics-free", "biodegradable", or "recyclable"...with so many claims being made about which packaging is sustainable, it is easy to be misinformed, frustrated and confused. This event will explore these topics and engage participants in myth-busting and dialog around sustainable packaging and packaging's role in the circular economy.
The event will include a presentation and panel discussion, followed by open dialog.
