DRAWING TECHNIQUES: 3D EFFECTS & PERSPECTIVE
Is your child a budding da Vinci? This course introduces children to essential artist drawing materials like lead pencils of varying grades, charcoal, conte and graphite. And it expands their creative thinking skills! They will learn how different effects can be created through pressure, cross-hatching and shading. These techniques will then be applied to creating 3D effects on simple objects. As we progress, we will build up to more complex compositions like a still life, according on the abilities of each child. For advanced drawers, they will also be shown how to use single point perspective so they can draw an interior space that has depth. For young drawers, the focus will be in improving the outline of objects (observation) and the control and texture of their lines (dexterity); they will have an opportunity to try shading techniques if they wish.
